August 4: Hear from Santa Clara County’s monitor
Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office independent monitor Mike Gennaco will be Fixin’s speaker on August 4. In addition to Santa Clara County, he and the OIR Group also serve as monitor for Santa Cruz County, Palo Alto, and other cities.
Mike has also served as Chief Attorney of the Office of Independent Review for Los Angeles County, and Chief of the Civil Rights Section at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. He has conducted successful civil rights prosecutions against law enforcement agents for excessive force, including officers of the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, and federal immigration detention officers.
