Fixin’ welcomes William Palmer II

William “Tariq” Palmer served 31 years in prison for an offense committed as a minor, 23 years of which were ruled unconstitutionally excessiveby the California Supreme Court. Now he is an artist, a youth mentor, and an advocate for parole reform, appointed to the San Francisco Reentry Council on the Sentencing Commission as well as the Sheriff’s Department Oversight Board. Please join us to hear his story.

Our partner spotlight will be on the San Mateo County Behavioral Health Commission and their recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on better addressing police responses to people in mental health crisis, with Commission Chair Chris Rasmussen.

Below is a calendar of regular meetings and events by FxSMC, as well as other events of interest that are organized by other groups when applicable. All times Pacific

Thank you to the community for a great event!

Fixin’ San Mateo County thanks everyone who came to our Holiday this November 11. It was a moving celebration of all that we’ve accomplished this year.
